The Akal Takht, located in the Golden Temple complex, is the highest seat of Sikh temporal authority. Established by Guru Hargobind, it represents the Sikh principles of justice and sovereignty. The Akal Takht plays a pivotal role in the spiritual and political life of the Sikh community.
Located in Anandpur Sahib, the birthplace of the Khalsa, Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib is one of the most important Sikh pilgrimage sites. It was here that Guru Gobind Singh founded the Khalsa in 1699. The Takht houses many historical artifacts, including weapons used by the Guru.
Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, situated in Talwandi Sabo, is where Guru Gobind Singh compiled the final version of the Guru Granth Sahib. It is known as the "Seat of Learning" and holds a special place in Sikh history for its literary significance.
